Would you be intrigued by an annual video series inspired by Extreme Dodgeball from Game Show Network, w/ country vs country matches, and a modified version of the rules?

Community iconc/asklemmy@lemmy.world by
CorneliusCopernicus@lemmy.world

If yes, what rules would you like to see, keeping it to a more professional theme / spectator friendly / entertaining style? I already have something in mind, as I began playing in 2001 at age 14 in my first year of high school, 12 years later was the first player selected on a USA Team for a world championship event using one of my less preferred ball types and rule sets, and gained experience with the sport across 7 countries with different styles / ball types. With enough interest, I’d love to use this as a way to create a new community, finding one representative per country.

Single Go binary, SQLite, Docker-ready. No analytics, no third-party APIs, no cloud. Your data stays on your server. Features: period tracking, symptom logging, predictions (ovulation, fertile window), statistics, CSV/JSON export, dark mode, Russian and English. Just pushed v0.2.5. Looking for feedback from real users.

Russia is providing Iran intelligence to target U.S. forces, officials say (washingtonpost.com)

Russia is providing Iran with targeting information to attack American forces in the Middle East, the first indication that another major U.S. adversary is participating — even indirectly — in the war, according to three officials familiar with the intelligence. The assistance, which has not been previously reported, signals that the rapidly expanding conflict now features one of America’s chief nuclear-armed competitors with exquisite intelligence capabilities. Since the war began Saturday, Russia has passed Iran the locations of U.S. military assets, including warships and aircraft, said the three officials, who spoke on the condition of anonymity because of the matter’s sensitivity. “It does seem like it’s a pretty comprehensive effort,” one of the people said.
