Brass crane pendant
submitted by
A handcrafted brass pendant made with a jeweler’s saw. The play on contrasts shows the crane relaxing on one leg in front of the sun (or the moon, depending on the point of view).

Very nice!
Thank you!
Well done, looks fantastic!
(I checked post history and saw that you are the same person rhat made the bow & arrow ear-rings which I liked a lot!)
Thank you, and I’m surprised (and honoured) that you remember my previous posts, especially since I haven’t posted anything in some time now. I want to post more but didn’t get enough time lately to craft much, and even less to take pictures of things :/
Gorgeous! That looks like so much fun to make! Did you drill holes to start the saw?
It is pretty fun to do, and actually started purely as a hobby; I never thought that I’d ever make things that people are even willing to pay for (and still am surprised they do)!
And yes, I first drill a hole in each “area” and then slide the blade through it. The hard part is for very tiny areas, where the hole itself is almost as big as the area I have to cut out, and I end up having to drill holes of less than 0.5mm without breaking anything!
