Visiting London for a few days, and noticed a lot of half-mast flags: red cross on a white background (reminiscent of some crusaders, Templars?) any symbolism behind them being shredded? Its a lot of them, must have cost a ton of money…
Hi. I’ve never been to the UK and I prefer coffee over tea but your comedy panel shows are the shit. So far I’ve enjoyed Would I Lie To You, 8 Out of 10 cats, Big Fat Quiz, QI, Taskmaster, and Last One Laughing. What should I watch next?
Some time on Friday/Saturday my 2 recycling wheelie bins disappeared from my back yard. I found them on the back street and they were fully empty. I presumed that the collection day had changed and maybe a neighbour took them out for me. Except it’s collection day tomorrow and every neighbour has their bins out and they’re all full.
I always assumed the term is used specifically to differentiate it from “working days”, but talking to my bank today they claimed that “calendar days” doesn’t include weekends and bank holidays.
We’ve been on holiday with two dogs. The last few days have been so hot that we could go out with them only early in the morning. Thankfully the place we are staying has stone walls and seemingly good loft insulation that moderate temperature fluctuations.
I’m doing my best to stop drinking, but my local only has Heineken 0 available. What else do you lot drink that I can reliably get in the pub, which isn’t full of caffeine or sugar?
Personally, I don’t like them, because of the asymmetry of effort in sending vs receiving, and that you can’t tell how serious it is before listening to it.
Daughter pulled this out from a pack of Walkers Roast Chicken and she was amazed by its form and purity. If there was an encyclopedia Britanica entry for crisps, this would be the accompanying image.
Cheesy chips could be banned from competition venues, H&H can reveal, as research has found they can have a performance-enhancing effect on riders and horses.
If you are making a cake, after baking the sponge layers and letting the cool down, maybe not leave them where the dogs can reach them when you leave the kitchen.
Because obviously red squirrels are still squirrels, but there’s just far less of them. Don’t think people would mind the occasional squirrel raid as long as they knew there was only going to be one of them for the entire neighbourhood. Alas.
Curious how we’re viewed across the water these days. Obviously our lot did a wee bit of terrorism over there a while back, but sure it’s all Semtex under the bridge now 👀
